Happy New Year

Our family has been blessed throughout 2013, but we are ready to see what God has instore for us in 2014 as many of you may be.  This year has been a year of many crazy changes in our lives, but we have welcomed all of it because we knew God was in control.  Each year many people may add new life to their families through a birth and many loose someone they love dearly.  This has been one of those years for us of loosing loved ones that we will forever miss.  As I am reminded of how quickly each year passes by, it makes me truly thankful for those in my life. I just wanted to take a moment and let our friends and family know how much we love you and how thankful we are to have each of you in our lives.  We are praying for God’s blessings for you and your family for the New Year.  May it bring laughter and many memories to each of you.

New Year’s resolutions are something that many of you are already thinking about.  I am not one that makes New Years resolutions, however this is a good time for new beginnings.  The new year makes me think about a believer in Christ, how the old is washed away and now all things are new.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

This is a great time to leave our past behind us and let God lead our paths for new beginnings!  We are ready for Gods blessings and direction for 2014.  Are you ready for what God has for you and your family?  Praying many blessings for each of you for this New Year!
Our celebration:
Breakfast at Chick-fil-a  -Emily’s idea and I believe it was all of our favorite thing.

Movies (Saving Mr. Banks) -Good movie but I do not recommend for the kids. There were a couple of bad words and my 10 year old was bored and didn’t follow it and my 5 year old fell asleep.

Glow sticks – Always a big hit at our house.

Silly string -Very messy!! We did this outside so no clean up.

Fun party pack -The poppers had surprises in them and we threw away 3 out of 4 before realizing it.

Welch’s sparkling grape juice & Apple cranberry (surprisingly the girls liked it)
